ESG strategy in four months: interviews, double materiality, actionable priorities.
The context
CARSO, analytical laboratories, a portfolio company of ArchiMed and Siparex, wants an ESG strategy that serves the business.
The brief
Build the group’s ESG strategy on a tight schedule.
What we did
A dozen interviews across six subsidiaries to take the measure of real sensitivities before applying any method, then a collective day to build the double materiality matrix together rather than present it to them. Then the work that separates a strategy from a report: three-tier governance — group, subsidiary, workstream — with the workstream leader’s role written down in black and white, an action plan per priority topic, a documented case-by-case review of the sector’s reputational risks, and a budget approach mapped onto the existing organisation.
The impact
Quality deliverables and an actionable strategy — in the words of the transformation director.
« CHOC supported us in building our ESG strategy. On a tight four-month schedule, we obtained quality deliverables and an actionable strategy. His expertise and his ability to listen were real assets in the success of this mission. Working with CHOC is very pleasant, straightforward and effective. »
